As a church the huge bulk of our financial support comes through generous giving by church members. This is used on running costs and paying an administrator, and a big proportion is passed on to the Derby Diocese to support the Common Fund, which enables church ministry across the diocese and the payment of active and retired clergy.
As well as receiving, we have also resolved to be a church that gives, and this year the PCC decided that we would give 10% of our income to charities. We are supporting the following three charities:
Links International, a Christian charity working in developing countries to inspire, empower and resource communities to break free from poverty and its effects.
Betel UK, a Christian charity working across the UK with centres in Derby and Nottingham, helping people break free from addiction and aiming to give broken lives new direction.
Valley CIDS, a local Christian charity working in schools and through youth centres to serve, inspire and equip children, young people and families in Derbyshire to develop their full potential in society.
We also provide opportunities for people to give to other causes at certain times of year and as needs arise, which has often been through Tearfund for global crises.
If you would like to give towards the work and mission of All Saints, please talk to Nigel Lane our treasurer via the church office.
